Swimmers who take a first, second, third, fourth or fifth place in a meet will receive a ribbon with their name, the event number, and the time. Heat winners are presented with a ribbon at the end of the heat race.
The divisional meet at the end of the season gives all swimmers the opportunity to gain a medal or a trophy.
At championships in Italy, swimmers who have qualified to swim may also receive medals for places 1 - 6. Qualifications are based solely on times including relay teams.
High School (9 - 12) students have the opportunity to earn a varsity letter in swimming if they fulfill the requirements which the team, EFSL and the Bamberg American High School have agreed upon in the "Student Athlete's Contract".
At the end of the season is an awards banquet. Every member of the team will receive a trophy and additional overall awards are presented at this time.
