Registration Fee: $100.00 per child
Monthly Pool Fees:
$40.00 per 1st child
$30.00 per 2nd child
$20.00 per 3rd (or more) child(ren)
Every new swimmer is granted a trial period of 4 practices. During this time, the team will ask for a fee of $5 per swim session per swimmer to share the cost for pool time. After that, the swimmer must let the team know whether he/she wants to join. A completed registration packet and current physical will be required with payment for the swimmer to continue.
Membership will last throughout the length of one regular season (September through March). Members can withdraw their membership at any time. A refund on the registration fee cannot be given. Out of courtesy one of the team's board members or the head coach should be notified when such a decision is made.
Private Organization:
The Bamberg Aqua Barons are a "self-sponsored, supported and managed
organization" which needs to follow the rules in AR 210-1 and USAREUR Reg 210-1.
This means that the team will receive no financial support from any military
organization or non-appropriated funds (see Constitution, Article I). For this
reason the financing of the team's and swimmer's needs is up to the parents and
the swimmers alone. In addition to the above mentioned fees to be paid upon
registration and each month, it is indispensable that the team - considering
swimmers and their parents/guardians - participate in activities to raise money
to finance the team.
Fund Raising
Fund-raising activities might be available to help cover some of the expenses
occurred by the team. Accommodations for swimmers during distance meets and
team suits, caps and goggles are just two examples of expenses the team would
like to provide if monies are available. Past fund-raisers have been Super
Skates and concession stands. The team has also benefited from the generosity
of other private organizations such as the Bamberg Spouses' and Civilians' Club,
who have provided monetary grants to support the team.
Expenses
The team's yearly expenses are based primarily on the following costs:
Team Suits and Caps
Pool Costs - we practice/compete in German Pools and pay fees in Euros
Equipment - kick boards, pull floats, timers, lane lines etc...
