Parental Support

As a private organization, Aqua Barons Swim Club receives very little direct support from the community and can not function without considerable support and effort on the part of the parents. A number of positions need to be filled, and should be distributed equally among the families.

Some of the positions required to operate the team are:

Meet Coordinator and Meet Director (Vice President)
Referee
Starter
Stroke and Turn
Statistician
Clerk of Course
Head Timer
Lane Timers
Marshal
Awards Clerk
Runner
Concessions
Home meets can not be held without the support of all the parents. In addition to the above positions, help is needed with set up and removal of all the equipment, clean up, etc. Parental support is imperative to ensure a well run meet and an enjoyable safe experience for the swimmers.

Governing Body

According to the team's Constitution and Bylaws, a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are elected to manage the team. The Head Coach also sits on the board. Elections for the following season are held at the end of each season.

As all positions on the swim team are volunteer positions, each parent is requested to fill out a BSB Volunteer application as part of the registration process. The team secretary keeps a log of all hours donated to the team and turns them in to the BSB monthly.
